Time to try Project 365 again

For those out there who do not know what Project 365 is, it is a goal to take one picture a day about your every day life.  I attempted this last year, but got really sick about two weeks in to the year and lost myl motivation.  This year, I am determined to keep up with it.   In addition to project 365,  I will be sharing more layouts and hybrid projects.

Calendar almost finished

Well, between cleaning, laundry and entertaining company today, I made it to the month of September on the CD case calendar project I am working on.  So, only three more months to finish up and I will be ready to print them out and insert them in to the CD cases.  That will take care of a few Christmas gifts!!  I have a few other ideas in mind as well, but I am waiting until I have the finished product to share.

If you are interested in trying this out for yourself, I found the idea here.  Just a note:  I did not purchase the premade calendar, I created my calendar pages from scratch.

Updates and random scrapbook information

I gave a little more life to my blog banner.  You may have noticed that I have no more Heritage Makers information on this blog, except for my book previews, which are one of my memory keeping methods.  I moved my Heritage Makers blog here.   The link is also located on the left side of this blog.  I will no longer be posting Heritage Makers information on this blog, but I may direct you to the other blog if I have new information to pass along.

With that being said, I wanted to share what I have been working on and some of the sites I came across today that you may be interested in.

I am currently taking the HOLIDAY IN HAND class, given by Jessica Sprague.  The registration is closed, but if you would like to learn more about scrapbooking, Jessica's site is an excellent resource.  She often has free classes, and she offers classes in scrapbook instruction for minimal fees.  You can visit her website here.  Jessica also has a blog, which is also very informative.

I am also working on a CD case calendar.  I hope to have some pictures tomorrow evening, but I am not sure how the time will work out for me.

Hybrid projects and other random stuff

It has been a while since I have made a post.  I recently went back to working full time and I was away from home for three weeks of training.  I also had time to do some thinking about the things I am really passionate about.  I love photography and practicing my skills whenever I get the chance.  I also enjoy using my photos to create hybrid scrapbook projects.  I have a few ideas, that I plan on sharing here in the near future and I feel the direction of my blog may shift slightly.  I love Heritage Makers, the storybooks and templates are truly the best out there, but I want to share my love of digital/hybrid scrapbooking and photography here on my blog.  I know many of my friends have great interest in some of the projects I have created and I want to help you make the same projects.  I will still be a Heritage Makers consulant, but it will be more passive for me.

My goals for the future of this blog, and the original intention, were to share with you how I preserve my memories and "Reflect" on the past, hence "Reflections So Sweet".  I will be creating my own tutorials, for various projects I have made, and sharing my ideas for future projects.  So, be on the lookout for a change in the near future and enjoy your weekend!!!

Point Loma pictures

I got over 100 great photos when we went to Point Loma and the Cabrillo National Monument.  I chose a few to share here.  I like to play with different blending modes in Photoshop Elements to give some of the pictures a different feel.

I was trying to give this photo a faded blue jean feeling.

I did not do edit this one.  This is straight out of the camera.

This is a picture of the Lighthouse on Point Loma.  I did not edit this one at all, I really like thow the original turned out.

I also took a picture of the lighthouse near the coast guard station.  I did some editting on this photo.  I tried to give it a real old time feel.

I would love to know what you think!! Thanks for looking and stopping by!
